Cat’n Around Catskill art show offers pictorial postmark
Postmark Pursuit by Molly Goad
The 17th annual Cat’n Around Catskill art show in Catskill, N.Y., is in full swing, and the postmark shown here is one way to join the fun.
Each summer, from Memorial Day to mid-September, the Heart of Catskill Association lines the town’s historic Main Street with one-of-a-kind renditions of felines crafted by local artists.
This year’s show includes 65 different cat statues, including “Mona Lisa Cat,” “Abominable Snowcat,” “Little Cat on the Prairie,” “On Top of SpaghKITTY” and “First Class Cat” — a feline covered in postage stamps. A poster of all the cats is on display at the show.
Additionally, the Heart Of Catskill Association presents the Annual Cat’s Meow Auction and Gala on Sept. 17, where the cats will be auctioned off to raise funds for the artists, local community events, and various causes.
To obtain the Cat’n Around Catskill postmark, address your request to:
CAT’N AROUND CATSKILL 2023 Station, Postmaster, Box 9998, Catskill, NY 12414-9998, June 24.
