In a news release sent Aug. 4, La Posta Publications editor and publisher Peter Martin invited authors to submit articles for the 300th issue of La Posta: The Journal of American Postal History, to be published as the 2024 fourth quarter issue.

The deadline for submission is Oct. 15. Guidelines for writers are available on the La Posta website and questions can be emailed to Martin at pmartin2525@yahoo.com.

La Posta provides research, news and information regarding all aspects of American postal history. All American postal history subjects will be considered for the 300th issue, Martin said, although a special section of the issue will be devoted to advertising postal history.

In the news release Martin explains that the 2024 fourth quarter issue will be published as a standalone volume 56 in order to make the issue year and volume number match after the loss of a volume number due to the irregular numbering of earlier issues.

The 2024 fourth quarter issue will be expanded above the usual 72 pages and will require a separate subscription of $25. A subscription for the four issues to be published in 2025 costs $36.

More information on La Posta Publications is available online, by email at laposta.joan@yahoo.com or by mail at La Posta Publications, Box 6074, Fredericksburg, VA 22403.
