The United Nations Postal Administration issued a pane of 10 stamps June 7 showing images of the U.N. headquarters in New York City.

A publicity image of the pane is shown nearby. The stamps are denominated $1.65 to pay the proposed United States Postal Service rate for international mail scheduled to go into effect July 14. At the time of issue, the USPS international mail rate is $1.55.

A se-tenant (side-by-side) label with the U.N. logo appears to the right of each stamp. Although the UNPA calls this pane a “special event sheet,” customers can personalize the labels with a photograph replacing the U.N. logo by visiting the U.N. headquarters or by uploading their photographs to the UNPA website.

Another photograph of the U.N. headquarters is reproduced in the selvage to the left of the stamps and labels. “Greetings from United Nations Headquarters” is inscribed across the top of the pane.

The UNPA reported that it printed 24,000 sheets of the stamps in-house.

Each stamp measures 40.6 millimeters by 29.8mm, each label 26.6mm by 29.8mm, and each pane of 10 279.4mm by 215.9mm.

The Napex stamp show held June 7-9 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, 7920 Jones Branch Drive in McLean, Va., hosted a first-day ceremony for the stamps.
