Vol. 6A (countries of the world San Marino through Tete) and Vol. 6B (Thailand through Z) of the 2025 Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue are now available for purchase.

From the Scott Editors by Jay Bigalke

Another catalog season is upon us as we continue the journey of the 156-year history of the Scott catalogs. The 2025 volumes are the 181st edition of the Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue.

Volume 6A includes listings for the countries of the world San (San Marino) through Tete. Listings for Thai (Thailand) through Z countries of the world can be found in Vol. 6B.

For the 2025 Scott catalog season, we continue a review of South America countries, which for Vol. 6 included Uruguay. Approximately 3,400 value changes were made, with many slight increases and a few decreases noted. There really does appear to be additional interest in this country, and some of the value increases reflect that. For example, the Uruguay 1976 World Cup Soccer Championships set of four stamps (Scott 966-969) increased in value in unused condition from $7 to $9.

Turkey received a careful review, and a number of editorial changes were made. See the number changes list for the list of new catalog listings.

Other reviewed countries include Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tete, Turkey In Asia, and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Many other countries received less extensive reviews that are not noted in this letter.

A digital subscription is also available for the Scott catalogs, and information about the subscription can be found on the Amos Advantage website.

Approximately 500 images of stamps not pictured in the Vol. 6 print edition were added to this year’s Vol. 6 digital catalog.
