Stamps provide a dose of culture

What better place than an art gallery for a first-day ceremony celebrating the Abstract Expressionists stamps? In this month's newsletter you'll find photographs of the event at the Buffalo, N.Y., art gallery that is home to four of the 10 paintings pictured in the new set.

Literature is the theme for two of this month's newletter features: Children's books commemorated on new stamps from around the world, and stamps that have honored American author Mark Twain.

You'll also find a preview of the next issue of Scott Stamp Monthly, and an advance look at the three new U.S. stamps coming in May.
