Ellen Degeneres stars at stamp ceremony

Ellen Degeneres — stamp fan? The popular talk show host and animal lover showed a fondness for the new Adopt a Shelter Pet stamps when she participated in the April 30 first-day ceremony. Although she didn't claim to be a collector, she's sure to save this very special stamp set.

Collectors on both coasts had an opportunity to celebrate new stamps recently. This month's newsletter includes photos from the Adopt a Shelter Pet event in California and the Monarch Butterly ceremony in New York. You'll also read about new U.S. stamp sets scheduled for July, plus topical features on funiculars and Little Big Horn warriors, and a preview of the next Scott Stamp Monthly.

Happy collecting!
