The preliminary design of the digital color postmark for the U.S. Maya Angelou commemorative stamp.

Two pictorial first-day cancels for the forthcoming Maya Angelou commemorative stamp have been revealed by the United States Postal Service.

The postmarks each show a birdcage with an open door, and a bird flying past it. The bird appears to be gold or brown on the digital color postmark. The other postmark is printed entirely in black.
