1. From Facebook

Here's a quick catch-up on what our Linn's Stamp News Facebook fans have been posting on our page lately:

  • Linda Webb posted a picture of her husband and young grandson soaking stamps together.
  • Stamp King informed us that COMPEX 2016 in Arlington Heights, IL, will not take place over Memorial Day weekend as usual, but instead during the May 20-22 weekend.
  • The Wisconsin Federation of Stamp Clubs left a link to a story about a planned "nurse-in" after a USPS employee in Janesville, WI, asked a breast-feeding customer to leave the post office.

2. Notable and beautiful

"Everything about a set of four airmail semipostal stamps issued by Latvia in 1933 is notable."

3. BNAPS spreads the good word

"There are many organizations concerned with stamps and covers of our neighbor to the north, but BNAPS is the one that stakes a claim as 'the society for Canadian philately.'"

4. Getting the word out

"Adequate [stamp show] promotion and marketing require neither an overabundance of time or money, just commitment and focused effort, with a heavy sprinkling of common sense and logic."
