Mexico-Elmhurst Philatelic Society donates to Boston 2026
By Linn’s Staff
The Boston 2026 World Expo received a $1,500 contribution from the Mexico-Elmhurst Philatelic Society International (MEPSI), Boston 2026 public relations chair Thomas Forunato said in a May 27 press release.
MEPSI is the only major philatelic society specializing in Mexican philately of all kinds.
The society was founded in Elmhurst, Ill., in 1935, and its members decided to focus on collecting stamps from Mexico. The club grew rapidly and today has members in every state and on all continents except for Antarctica.
Members of MEPSI receive quarterly issues of the society’s journal Mexicana and have access to an extensive reference library, circuit book submissions and purchases, and expertization services.
The society plans to host its 2026 convention at Boston 2026. More information on the society is available online.
Boston 2026 welcomes philatelic societies and organizations of any size to reserve rooms for meetings and presentations on any of the eight days of the show. Contact society chair Mark Schwartz for more information.
Boston 2026 World Expo will take place May 23-30, 2026, at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Show details and instructions to sign up for email updates can be found on the expo’s website and via the expo’s Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram pages.
