USPS announces Water Lilies envelopes details

Two new United States Water Lilies forever stamped envelopes in No. 10 size only are being sold in packs of 10 (five of each design) by the U.S. Postal Service.

Each pack comes with a set of envelope seals and sells for $9.95, which works out to 99½¢ per envelope, if one disregards the value of the seals.

The two stamp designs on these envelopes were previously used in the set of four Water Lilies forever stamps issued March 20.

The imprinted envelope stamps show the dark pink flower with yellow center and the white flower with yellow center.

First-day cancel ordering information

Collectors requesting first-day cancels are encouraged to purchase their stamped envelopes. The first-day cover envelopes should be addressed for return (a removable label may be used), and mailed in a larger envelope addressed to Water Lilies Stamped Envelopes, Special Events Coordinator, 380 West 33rd St., New York, NY 10199-9998. Requests for first-day cancels must be postmarked by June 16.

The Postal Service’s uncacheted FDCs for the (49¢) Water Lilies stamped envelopes are item 882103 (stamped envelope FDC set of two at $1.48). USPS order numbers for stamps and FDCs also appear in Linn’s 2015 U.S. Stamp Program.
