ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 theme of New Zealand sheet: Morning Report

1. World Cup stamps

New Zealand Post has issued a fourteen-stamp sheet commemorating the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 being held in New Zealand and Australia. 

"The souvenir sheet will have 14 different cricket balls, representing the number of countries participating in the competition, accompanied by the individual country flags in a colourful background. In addition to this, India's world cup wins in 1983 and 2011 are also represented in the form of cup logos," a report from The Hindu (India) reads.

The Cricket World Cup began Feb. 14 and runs through March 29.

2. Maya getting a stamp

Poet Maya Angelou, who died just 10 months ago, will be honored with a forever stamp, according to a Feb. 23 press release from the United States Postal Service.

3. Auction with a cause

The Quad City Stamp Club will conduct its annual Stamp Out Cancer auction April 19 at the Center for Active Seniors, 1035 W. Kimberly Road, Davenport, Iowa.
