Linn's Stamp News gives you a quick look at what's going on in the world of stamp-collecting.

1. Issues down under

Australia Post mail delivery will take longer and stamps will cost more if a to-be-proposed system goes into effect, according to The Age.

"The government's reform package is designed to help arrest the falling financial performance of Australia Post, which on Monday announced a 56 per drop in half-yearly profit," The Age report reads. "Australia Post recorded a first-half profit of just $98 million, with the dive driven by mounting losses of $151 million in its letters business."

2. Obama's USPS plan

"After President Obama sent his 2016 budget to the Congress on Feb. 2, Stephen Kearney, executive director of the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers, asked, '[W]ill anyone take him up on it?'"

3. WWI stamps

"Like many countries, New Zealand is commemorating the events of World War I (1914-1918) in a multiyear stamp series."
