Former NBA star Stephon Marbury on new Chinese stamps: Morning Report

1. Starbury gets a stamp

Former NBA player Stephon Marbury, who has become a basketball star in China after his pro days here in the U.S., is getting his own label attached to a Chinese postage stamp issue.

"The Coney Islander has won three titles for the Beijing Ducks in four years," the New York Post reports, "including last month’s triumph over the Liaoning Flying Leopards, during which he was series MVP."

Although numerous news reports call this a postage stamp, photographs of Marbury in action actually appear on labels next to Chinese postage stamps. The panes with six stamps and six labels were unveiled during a ceremony at the National Museum of China.
