Linn's Stamp News is looking back at its five most-read stories of the week.

Click the links to read the stories. Here they are, in reverse order:

5. Netherlands stamps reflect Dutch connections with the U.S. and New York City: These stamps are part of an annual series highlighting connections between the Netherlands and another country, in this case the United States.

3. Free program allows creation of customized stamp database: Sesame Database Manager isn’t a new program; it’s been around since 2003. Previously priced at $79, the program is now available free for personal use. However, you need to call Lantica customer service at 800-410-6315 first to receive a call-in coupon.

2. Upcoming U.S. stamps for 2015, 2016 revealed: With the A Charlie Brown Christmas set of 10 stamps available as of Oct. 1, this older post warrants a second look.

1. Remote Penrhyn Island and its intriguing postage stamps: The island got its name from the Lady Penrhyn, a British ship built in 1786 as a slaver, but whose first voyage transported convicts to New South Wales.
