1. Painting with stamps

Anne-Marie Stijelja recently gained some notable recognition in the United Kingdom's art world.

The Northhamptonshire Telegraph highlights a mosaic of Queen Elizabeth II that Stijelja created using used postage stamps. It was on display for just a few short days late last month.

The stamps used in the mosaic are from all corners of the world, including Great Britain.

2. Imperf Stamps make the cut for Scott's 2016 U.S. Specialized catalog

“The biggest editorial advance in the 2016 Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers is the addition of minor-number listings for imperforate stamps from uncut press sheets without die cuts.”

3. These Pope Francis special stamps are pretty nifty

“The United Nations Postal Administration commemorated the Sept. 25 visit of Pope Francis with a pane of 10 stamps and se-tenant labels. The pope addressed the U.N. General Assembly.

“The 10 $1.20 stamps feature the 70th anniversary logo of the United Nations, and the label pictures Pope Francis.”
