The executive director of World Stamp Show-NY 2016, Donna Richardson, has left the organization, according to a statement issued March 13 by the show’s chairman and president, Wade E. Saadi.

“[Show vice president Steven J. Rod] and I had a meeting today with Donna Richardson, at which time we agreed that she would part ways with World Stamp Show-NY 2016,” Saadi wrote. “Over the past year she has brought enthusiasm and energy which has enhanced and grown our show, and we will always be appreciative to her for the service she has rendered to us.”

In the statement, addressed to the show’s organizing committee and sent to Linn’s Stamp News, Saadi added that the show will seek to fill the vacancy with the new position of executive assistant, working in the show’s office at the Collectors Club in New York City.

Linn’s contacted Saadi for further details, but Saadi he cannot comment on personnel matters.

Richardson was appointed as the show’s executive director Jan. 13, 2014, following the resignation of Pat Moeser because of personal family issues.
Moeser accepted the position on Feb. 1, 2013, replacing Rod, who resigned as executive director due to personal and family needs.

World Stamp Show-NY 2016 takes place May 28 through June 4, 2016, at the Javits Center, 655 West 34th St., in New York City.
