Stunning array of previously offered U.S. material sold at Rarities Week

Siegel Auction Galleries in New York, included several name sales as well as an assortment of notable items from around the world. The week kicked off with something of a do-over: a sizable assortment of better United States stamps and covers that had appeared in four previous sales, but whose winning bidder then failed to pay for them. -

Rasdale auction Aug. 15-16 includes Jim Linker stock, worldwide selection
by By Michael BaadkeRasdale Stamp Co. is presenting its 425th public auction Aug. 15 and 16 at the firm’s gallery in Westmont, Ill., just west of Chicago. The auction lots are listed with images on the Rasdale Stamp Co. website, and bids can be placed online. The current sale consists of more than 575 lots from 85 owners, and ranges from single stamps and covers to large lots, accumulations and collections. -

Canada’s recalled Hoodoo stamps are hot items on eBay

Romania 1858 Coat of Arms cover top lot at Harmers sale

The sale was previewed on the front page of the June 8 Linn’s. The top lot was a cover from Romania franked with an 1858 54-parale stamp showing the classic bull’s head Coat of Arms design. -
